Recently, the Social Work Department - Central Tropical Diseases Hospital has coordinated with a charity unit to organize a birthday celebration program for patients born in April, May, June who are being treated at the General Internal Medicine Department. This is the first time this activity has been implemented at the hospital, with special significance in encouraging the spirit of patients.

Previously, birthdays were often an occasion for everyone to gather with their families in a cozy space. However, for patients being treated, this special day takes place right at the hospital. Despite the absence of full presence of relatives, the care and sharing from the medical team and the community has brought a warm and touching atmosphere. Many patients said that they are not only treated with medicine but also receive spiritual care, clearly feeling empathy and love.
The program was attended by a large number of medical staff, philanthropists and especially patients, including many elderly people who are fighting illness day and night.
Not only blowing candles together, receiving birthday wishes, patients also participate in giao lưu, answering questions, receiving small gifts and enjoying art performances performed by medical staff, volunteers and patients themselves. These activities contribute to creating a close, joyful atmosphere, helping patients reduce anxiety during treatment.

In the program, Dr. Tran Thi Hai Ninh - Head of the General Internal Medicine Department sent wishes to patients entering their new age with good health, peace, always maintaining an optimistic spirit; and emphasized the spirit of considering patients as family members.
Ms. Bui Thi Hieu - representative of the charity group supporting the program implementation - expressed her joy at connecting philanthropists to join hands in caring for both materially and spiritually for patients. She also hopes that this meaningful activity will be maintained regularly, becoming a monthly program for patients at the hospital.
In the coming time, the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases is expected to maintain monthly birthday celebrations at many departments, so that each patient treated here will not only receive medical care but also always feel the sharing, connection and love from the community.
