HUE - Police forces across the country join hands to support and share difficulties with Hue people after consecutive floods.

On November 4, the working delegation of the Ministry of Public Security Office led by Major General Nguyen Hong Nguyen - Deputy Chief of the Ministry's Office, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Civil Defense Steering Committee of the Ministry of Public Security, arrived in Hue City to present 70 tons of rice, food and necessities to support people to overcome the consequences of floods, and at the same time inspect the recovery work in some low-lying areas.

Major General Nguyen Hong Nguyen said that the Ministry of Public Security will continue to support goods and food to the Central provinces; direct the grassroots police to hand over support gifts, "leaving no one behind", implementing the advice of General Secretary To Lam: "Do not let anyone go hungry, cold, or have no place to live".

Before the forecast that storm No. 13 could directly affect the Central region, special forces, Mobile Police, Fire Prevention and Rescue Police, and Traffic Police were ready to support. Many police units have established "safe houses" and opened headquarters as shelters for people.

On the same day, An Giang Police supported 40 tons of goods, Dong Thap Police supported 200 million VND, along with many gifts from Tuyen Quang Police, Can Tho sent to Hue.

As soon as the water receded, hundreds of officers and soldiers of Hue City Police mobilized to clean up schools, health stations, and public areas, soon returning people's lives to normal.

Millions of arms turn to compatriots affected by storms and floods

Consecutive storms and floods have caused many deaths, missing and injuries; many houses and production and business establishments have had their roofs blown off and suffered heavy damage. People across the northern mountainous provinces and the central provinces are struggling to cope with floods and heavy losses in human lives and property due to floods and thunderstorms.
