According to Vietnam Railways Corporation, after train SE21 ended its journey from Da Nang to Saigon station at 5 am on April 10, the cabin crew began checking and cleaning the car according to regulations and discovered a passenger wallet left behind, containing nearly 30 million VND.
Immediately after that, flight attendant Dang Van Thin reported the incident to Captain Nguyen Quoc Khanh to organize an inspection and make a record in the presence of relevant departments.
From the data on the system, the train crew identified the owner of the wallet as passenger Nguyen Thi Hong Tuyet, lying in bed number 21, carriage 9 of train SE21.

Using professional measures, the train crew quickly contacted Ms. Tuyet when this passenger had just left the station not long ago. After verifying personal information and asset characteristics matching the inventory record, the train crew completed the procedures to hand over the entire amount of money to the passenger.
Receiving her property back, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Tuyet emotionally said that due to her old age and being in a hurry when the train returned to the station, she was negligent and forgot her wallet.
Ms. Tuyet thanked the railway staff, especially car attendant in charge of the carriage Dang Van Thin and Train Chief Nguyen Quoc Khanh for their responsibility and honesty in the process of supporting passengers.
