Details of the incident, at about 2 pm on January 3, 2016 in the Mao Pho Pagoda area, in Zone 5, Luong Lo, Lien Minh commune, Phu Tho province, Ms. Nguyen Thi Bac (born in 1980, residing in Dong Quang ward, Thanh Hoa province) went to Mao Pho Pagoda and discovered a red leather wallet on the roadside.
Checking the wallet, Ms. Bac discovered inside 4 stacks of 500 thousand VND denomination tied with elastic ropes, along with CCCD, GPLX in the name of Le Thi Thien Thanh (born 1976, residing in Au Co ward, Phu Tho province).
After that, Ms. Bac contacted the grassroots security force and was instructed to go to Lien Minh Commune Police to report.
Upon receiving the information, Lien Minh Commune Police contacted the person named in the wallet and invited them to the headquarters to work.
During the working process, Ms. Le Thi Thien Thanh presented that at about 12 pm on the same day, she took the goods money from Ms. Oanh in Do Xuyen area, Lien Minh commune. After that, she rode a motorbike back to her hometown in Mac Pho area 6, Lien Minh commune. When leaving, Ms. Thanh left her wallet hanging at the front hook of the motorbike.
At the police station, through inspection, it was confirmed that the money in the wallet was 183 million VND, divided into 4 stacks of 500 thousand VND denomination. Ms. Thanh confirmed and committed that the money was hers.
Under the witness of the police agency, Ms. Nguyen Thi Bac proceeded to return the leather wallet along with the money and papers inside to Ms. Thanh.
