On August 3, Lam Dong Provincial Police said that Lieutenant Nguyen Thanh Huy, officer of the Organization and Personnel Department of the Provincial Police, had just promptly donated blood to help save a 10-year-old patient being treated at the Provincial General Hospital.
Previously, on the morning of August 1, the patient was admitted to the hospital in a state of severe anemia, requiring urgent blood transfusion of blood type A for emergency treatment. However, the amount of blood type A stored at the hospital was not enough to meet treatment needs.
Upon receiving the information, Lieutenant Nguyen Thanh Huy quickly reported to the unit leaders, arranged work and went to the hospital to register for blood donation.
Lieutenant Nguyen Thanh Huy's blood unit promptly served the emergency work, contributing to helping the child overcome the critical condition.
According to the leader of Lam Dong Provincial Police, the action of Lieutenant Nguyen Thanh Huy shows the spirit of responsibility, sharing and the tradition of "serving the people"; and at the same time spreads the meaning of the voluntary blood donation movement in the People's Police force.
