On June 5, news from the Khanh Hoa Border Guard Command said that a border guard soldier returned a wallet to a tourist who dropped it on the road.
On June 4, on the way to work at the Border Guard Command of Khanh Hoa, when passing Dinh Tien Hoang street, Nha Trang ward, Lieutenant Nguyen Duc Tin - Head of the Administrative Control Team, Dam Mon Border Guard Station - picked up a black wallet that was dropped on the roadside.
Checking inside, Lieutenant Tin discovered that the wallet contained many important documents such as permanent residence registration cards, entry visas, international bank cards and some cash.
Realizing that this was valuable property, especially documents directly related to the stay and travel of foreigners in Vietnam, Lieutenant Nguyen Duc Tin quickly handed over the wallet to the duty officer of the Border Guard Command of Khanh Hoa, and at the same time reported to the unit commander to organize verification and search for the owner.
Immediately after receiving the information, Khanh Hoa Border Guard Command coordinated to announce it in the mass media, and at the same time contacted the Immigration Management Department of Khanh Hoa Provincial Police and the Cam Ranh International Airport Border Gate Police Station to support verification and find the person who dropped the property.
At about 6 pm on the same day, Ms. Kang Hye Ge (born in 1995) and Ms. Im You Jin (born in 1996), Korean nationality, came to the Office of the Border Guard Command of Khanh Hoa to work.
After comparing and fully verifying the related information, the unit proceeded to return all documents and assets to the two citizens.
Receiving her property back, Ms. Kang Hye Ge emotionally sent her thanks to officers and soldiers of the Vietnam Border Guard.
