Trade Union Home" supports workers to settle down
At the end of April 2026, Ms. Nguyen Thi Nhu - union member of the Trade Union of the Management Board of Nui Chua - Phuoc Binh National Park received 60 million VND to support the construction of the Trade Union Shelter.
Her husband had a workplace accident, her child was seriously ill, and over the past time she had to rent a room, from the money the Trade Union supported, Ms. Nhu's dream house is gradually being completed, she is very happy.

According to Mr. Bui Dang Thanh - Vice Chairman of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation, the "Trade Union Shelter" program has become a bright spot in taking care of the lives of union members and workers for many years.
Many union member families who used to live in dilapidated, temporary houses have now been supported by the Khanh Hoa Trade Union to build new or repair more spacious houses, contributing to improving the quality of life and long-term stability.
According to Mr. Thanh, the greatest meaning of the program is to affirm the role of the Trade Union organization in caring for and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of workers, helping union members realize their desire to "settle down and work".
Thereby, consolidating the trust of workers in the Trade Union organization, creating motivation to stick with businesses, agencies, units and actively participate in labor production emulation movements.
From that reality, one of the key contents brought by the delegation of Khanh Hoa Provincial Trade Union to the 14th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union is the proposal that the Party, State and Vietnam General Confederation of Labor pay attention to promulgating specific mechanisms and policies to develop social housing, worker housing and facilities serving workers.
According to the Khanh Hoa Trade Union, the labor force in Van Phong Economic Zone, Suoi Dau and Ninh Thuy industrial parks, and many industrial parks that are being expanded have a very large demand for housing.
However, most workers are still renting rooms at high costs, and living conditions are still limited.
Therefore, there needs to be more preferential policies on land, credit, taxes and investment procedures to attract businesses to participate in developing social housing and rental housing at reasonable prices.
Projects need to be linked to kindergarten systems, trade union supermarkets, cultural and sports facilities to meet the living needs of workers.

Caring for fishermen, developing a sustainable marine economy
Along with housing, union members and workers in Khanh Hoa also hope that the Party, State, central ministries, branches and the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor will continue to pay attention to issuing mechanisms and policies to support sustainable marine economic development associated with protecting sea and island sovereignty.
Starting from the characteristic of being a locality with strengths in marine economy, union members hope that the Trade Union organization will have policies to improve the operational efficiency of fisheries trade unions. To create conditions for fishermen to feel secure in going offshore and sticking to the sea, legally fishing in traditional fishing grounds, especially the Truong Sa archipelago area.
At the same time, continue to effectively implement solutions to remove the warning "IUU Yellow Card" of the European Commission; support fishermen to modernize ships and fishing equipment, complete fishing infrastructure, and improve sea labor productivity...
Thereby, contributing to expanding export markets, improving the value of the seafood industry, ensuring jobs and stable income for fishermen and workers in the fields of exploitation, aquaculture, and seafood processing in Khanh Hoa province.
