Dak Nong - Regiment 726 met to present funds to support students in difficult circumstances in Dak Nong province.

On May 7, Regiment 726 (Army Corps 16) held a meeting and handed over support funds to students of the Project "Army officers and soldiers to support their children's education at school".

The event was held in the two communes of Quang Truc and Quang Tam (Tuy Duc, Dak Nong).

Accordingly, the leaders and commanders of the Regiment supported 32 students, of which the family's adoption fee was 2.3 million VND/student/month. The cost of nutrition support is 1.1 million VND/child/month, the total cost of support and adoption is 335,800,000 VND.

Speaking at the meeting, Lieutenant Colonel Do Van Trang - Political Commissar of Regiment 726 said: "In the past, the unit has coordinated with local Party committees, authorities and school boards in the area to conduct a review and approval for adoption. Thereby, supporting 32 ethnic minority students living in border areas with especially difficult family circumstances.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Do Van Trang, during holidays, Tet, and Mid-Autumn Festival, the unit visits and gives gifts to the students. To effectively implement the program, the unit has developed a plan, assigned staff in charge, supported and helped the students.

Through monitoring and grasping, the 32 students adopted and supported by the 726th Regiment all have made clear progress in their studies and training.

Through the meeting, it aims to synchronously and effectively implement the Project "Army officers and soldiers taking their children to school" for the period 2021 - 2030.

At the same time, promptly grasp the thoughts and aspirations of students' families who are beneficiaries of the project and hand over support funds to students according to regulations, helping students' families reduce difficulties and improve their studies and training.
