The Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot expressway project is under urgent construction, with the goal of completing the first 20km of the route in 2025.
The Khanh Hoa Province Agricultural and Transport Construction Investment Project Management Board (investor of component project 1, Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot Expressway) said that the project progress is meeting requirements, striving to complete the first 20km of the route by December 19, 2025 according to the direction of the Prime Minister.The investor said that from May 2025 to now, the weather at the construction site has been affected by erratic sunshine and rain, especially in construction packages 2 and 3. To ensure progress, the investor has directed contractors to increase machinery, equipment, and human resources, and organize the construction in "3 shifts, 4 teams".At the construction site, workers of Son Hai Group Company Limited are constructing a safety guardrail and a noise prevention system at the beginning of the route.Package No. 1 undertaken by Son Hai has reached 78.85% of the contract value, exceeding the plan by 2.4%. This is also a package in the group of 3,000km of national highways that the Prime Minister directed to be completed before the end of 2025.Package No. 1 has 9 bridges, 8 of which have been completed so far, while Song Cai bridge is expected to be completed in November 2025, 3 months ahead of schedule compared to the contract.Currently, Khanh Hoa Road Management and Construction Joint Stock Company is mobilizing maximum equipment and human resources to soon complete the remaining items.
Component project 1 of Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot Expressway has 3 construction packages, the total implementation value to date is about 2,275 billion VND, reaching 62.86% of the contract value, exceeding 3.19% of the plan.
Package No. 1 (22km at the beginning of the route) is constructed by Son Hai Group.
Package No. 2 (10km between routes) implemented by the Phuong Nam - North Central - Dong Duong Joint Venture, reached 45.58% of the contract value.
Package No. 3 (Km30 bridge and Cua Dong bridge) constructed by Truong Son Construction Corporation, reached 51% of the contract value.
The Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot Expressway Project Phase 1 is 117.5km long, with a scale of 4 lanes, and a 17m wide roadbed. When completed, the route will shorten the distance from Khanh Hoa to the administrative - political center of Dak Lak province from about 200km to 117km, contributing to promoting regional linkages and economic development of the Central Highlands - South Central region.
