Project worth over VND920 billion in Hai Phong after nearly 5 years of implementation

The project to build a road connecting Provincial Road 354 through Kien Thuy Industrial Park to the coastal road has a total investment of 924.238 billion VND from the Hai Phong City budget. The investment in the construction of the route is expected by Hai Phong City to bring many new development opportunities; is a favorable condition for Kien Thuy and An Lao districts to complete a synchronous transportation system, connecting with major economic centers of the city and coastal provinces in the Northeast region.

The route is 14.8 km long, with a roadbed width of 22 m, including 4 lanes for motor vehicles with a width of 3.5 m/lane; 2 lanes for non-motorized vehicles with a width of 2.5 m/lane; and a sidewalk with a width of 1.5 m. The starting point of the route intersects with Provincial Road 354 (about 1.5km from Khue Bridge) and the end point of the route intersects with the coastal road (km 7+ 150). The works on the route include a bridge over the Da Do River, a small bridge, a drainage culvert across the road, drainage through residential areas, and the returned works... According to Lao Dong reporters on the afternoon of March 17, the project through Doan Xa and Kien Thuy communes (right road) is under construction of the roadbed after receiving the handover of the site from the locality.

The project started on May 10, 2020, a typical event to celebrate the 65th anniversary of Hai Phong Liberation Day, construction period from 2019 to 2024. However, due to unfavorable weather conditions along with scarce materials and inflation, the project cannot be completed in 2024. Therefore, on December 3, 2024, the People's Committee of Hai Phong City issued Decision No. 4528/QD-UBND on approving the adjustment (2nd time) of the project. Kien Thuy District proposed that the city allow adjustment of the project implementation time to be completed by the end of 2025.

According to the representative of the Kien Thuy District Construction Investment Project Management Board - the project investor, by March 17, the project had reached nearly 70% of the progress. All 4 bridge items on the route have been completed, the work of filling the load, constructing the roadbed... is being focused on. In the package of Viet A tradically, according to the officer in charge of the construction, up to now, the unit has completed the roadbed of more than 3 km out of a total of 6.2 km according to the package. The unit is completing the remaining 3 km of road in Doan Xa commune.

The total workload of the Viet Astroline Group contractor has been completed to this point is about 60%. It is expected that by June 2025, the unit will complete the items according to the commitment to the investor.

According to the plan, Viet Uc Company will complete the road surface in April 2025; Hoang Loc Company will complete the roadbed in March 2025; road surface in May 2025; Phuong Dong Company will complete the roadbed in June 2025; road surface in August 2025; Hai Nam Company will complete the roadbed in April 2025; road surface in June 2025.

The Project Management Board is urging contractors to focus on human and material resources, striving to put the project into use soon. Thereby, contributing to the improvement of the transportation system, creating a basis and conditions to attract businesses to invest in industrial parks and clusters of Kien Thuy district and neighboring areas.
