Hanoi maintains 5-6 driving test sessions per day to serve thousands of candidates

Information from the Traffic Police Department (CSGT) - Hanoi City Police, on average, every month, the Road Motor Vehicle Driver Testing and Issuance Team organizes more than 100 driver's license test sessions of various grades; maintaining 5-6 sessions each day, ensuring the progress of processing dossiers for learners, especially at times when many people need to complete licenses to serve work and travel.

At the test sites, the traffic police force organizes guidance for candidates to install the VNeTraffic application. Candidates can receive e-driving licenses through this application only about 2 hours after the test ends.

According to Major Ta Quang Binh - Deputy Head of the Road Motor Vehicle Driver Testing and Issuance Team (Hanoi Traffic Police Department), in the period leading up to the Lunar New Year (from December 16, 2025 to January 13, 2026), the number of applications for exams and renewals increased sharply compared to normal times. The unit organized 173 test sessions, including 103 car tests and 70 motorcycle tests; the total number of car test applications reached 38,713 students, and motorcycles reached 34,009 students.

The workload is very large, but the unit determines that it must be proactive early, arrange enough staff, prepare good facilities and operate scientifically to avoid congestion and prevent people from waiting for a long time," Major Ta Quang Binh emphasized.

Also according to Major Binh, there are days when officers and soldiers increase working hours from early morning to late at night, processing all dossiers during the day with the spirit of "doing all the work, not all the time", minimizing people having to travel many times. Maintaining a high test frequency but still ensuring progress, not letting dossiers linger is a clear manifestation of the "fastest" criterion in service work.

The entire examination organization process is carried out publicly, transparently, and strictly complies with regulations.

From receiving applications, checking exam conditions to organizing theoretical and practical exams in the map and on the school track, everything is closely monitored by a camera system, automatic scoring software and direct supervision forces.

In addition, training centers are required to standardize programs, invest in vehicles, ensure yards, accurate scoring equipment systems, and operate stably. Tightening discipline and order in each stage has created a solid foundation for the criterion of "most transparent" in testing work.

In the context of increasing demand, the flexible organization of 5-6 sessions per day shows the determination not to let people wait for too long, taking people's satisfaction as a measure of work efficiency, towards the criterion of "most convenient" service.
