At the construction site of the 3,700 billion VND largest industrial park in the Mekong Delta

Khu công nghiệp Vĩnh Thạnh (giai đoạn 1) do Công ty Cổ phần VSIP Cần Thơ (VSIP Cần Thơ) làm chủ đầu tư được đặt tại xã Vĩnh Trinh (TP Cần Thơ), có quy mô 293,7 ha, tổng vốn đầu tư khoảng 3.717 tỉ đồng. Dự án được khởi động năm 2023, thời gian hoạt động 50 năm, dự kiến tạo việc làm cho khoảng 20.000 lao động, là khu VSIP đầu tiên tại Đồng bằng sông Cửu Long.

Vinh Thanh Industrial Park (phase 1) invested by VSIP Can Tho Joint Stock Company (VSIP Can Tho) is located in Vinh Trinh commune (Can Tho City), with a scale of 293.7 ha, total investment of about 3.717 billion VND. The project was launched in 2023, operating time of 50 years, expected to create jobs for about 20,000 workers, is the first VSIP area in the Mekong Delta.

Đến nay, tổng tiến độ xây dựng đạt khoảng 28%, trong đó san lấp đạt 22% diện tích.

To date, the total construction progress has reached about 28%, of which leveling has reached 22% of the area.

Các hạng mục hạ tầng như đường giao thông nội khu, hệ thống thoát nước, cấp điện, cấp nước, chiếu sáng và thông tin liên lạc đang được triển khai; trạm phòng cháy chữa cháy đạt khoảng 68%. Nhà máy xử lý nước thải tập trung giai đoạn 1 công suất 6.000 m3/ngày đêm dự kiến hoàn thành trong tháng 3.2026.

According to reporters' records at the construction site, infrastructure items such as internal traffic roads, drainage systems, electricity supply, water supply, lighting and communication are being deployed; the fire prevention and fighting station reached about 68%. Phase 1 centralized wastewater treatment plant with a capacity of 6,000 m3/day and night is expected to be completed in March 2026.

Dự án Khu tái định cư phục vụ Khu công nghiệp Vĩnh Thạnh giai đoạn 1 rộng 22,5 ha, với 547 nền, nhà ở công nhân, khu thương mại dịch vụ, công viên và hạ tầng kỹ thuật, dự kiến đón khoảng 4.000 người.

The Vinh Thanh Industrial Park Phase 1 Resettlement Area project is 22.5 ha wide, with 547 plots, worker housing, commercial service area, parks and technical infrastructure, expected to welcome about 4,000 people.

Ông Lê Công Lý - Trưởng ban Quản lý các khu chế xuất và công nghiệp TP Cần Thơ cho biết, dự án đã hoàn thành xây dựng và bước đầu bố trí hơn 250 nền, đồng thời thu hút nhà đầu tư thứ cấp đầu tiên với tổng vốn khoảng 100 triệu USD, tạo tín hiệu khả quan cho đầu tư.

Mr. Le Cong Ly - Head of the Management Board of Export Processing and Industrial Zones of Can Tho City - said that the project has completed construction and initially arranged more than 250 plots, and at the same time attracted the first secondary investor with a total capital of about 100 million USD, creating positive signals for investment.

Tuy nhiên, dự án vẫn đang đối mặt với nhiều khó khan như: còn 93 căn nhà chưa di dời; việc bố trí tái định cư còn vướng do một số khu chưa hoàn thiện hạ tầng điện, khiến người dân chưa thể xây dựng nhà ở, kéo dài thời gian bàn giao mặt bằng...

However, the project is still facing many difficulties such as: 93 houses have not been relocated; resettlement arrangement is still hindered because some areas have not completed electricity infrastructure, causing people to not be able to build houses, prolonging the land handover time...

Một khó khăn khác là giá nước sạch phục vụ khu công nghiệp chưa được phê duyệt.

Another difficulty is that the price of clean water for industrial parks has not been approved.

Để tháo gỡ khó khăn, Ban Quản lý các khu chế xuất và công nghiệp Cần Thơ kiến nghị các sở, ngành liên quan sớm hoàn thiện chính sách giá nước, đẩy nhanh bố trí tái định cư, hoàn tất bàn giao mặt bằng sạch và nghiên cứu các cơ chế hỗ trợ thu hút đầu tư phù hợp.

To remove difficulties, the Can Tho Export Processing and Industrial Zones Authority proposed that relevant departments and agencies soon complete water price policies, accelerate resettlement arrangements, complete the handover of clean land and study appropriate investment attraction support mechanisms.
