On the morning of January 18, the opening ceremony of the 2025 Spring Book Fair took place on Quang Trung Street, Hanoi.
The event was held on the occasion of the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2025) and the Lunar New Year 2025.
The Vietnam Publishing Association coordinated with the National Political Publishing House Truth, Vietnam Education Publishing House, Hoan Kiem District People's Committee, Tran Hung Dao Ward People's Committee and Vivi Education Solutions Development Joint Stock Company to organize the program.
This is the first time the program has been organized as a unique cultural event, promising to become an annual activity that many people from all walks of life look forward to in the future.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoai Anh - Truth National Political Publishing House - said that the Spring Book Fair is a meaningful cultural activity to honor the value of books and knowledge, while also celebrating an important historical milestone of the country, the 95th anniversary of Spring when the Communist Party of Vietnam was founded.
In the exciting atmosphere of spring, let's review glorious traditions and at the same time inspire love for books and reading culture in the community.
The book fair has more than 3,000 good and latest books including: precious and newly released books on the theme of celebrating the Party and celebrating spring; specialized books, books serving life, ideology, culture such as: Economics - Politics books, Books for young people, Literature and art books, Social culture, History, Religion, Science and technology, Law books, Foreign affairs books, foreign languages...
Expected to be more than 1,000 titles and more than 3,000 copies of the most typical books from publishers and distribution units. Especially, there are typical books about historical events of the country, the life and career of Party and State leaders.
In addition, there are additional activities such as handicraft booths, Tet cuisine and folk games for children, providing a meaningful entertainment and educational space for all ages.
The event creates a space for the intersection between traditional Tet values and spreading the meaning of knowledge to all classes of society.
On this occasion, the Vietnam Publishing Association and other organizing units will present 5,000 - 7,000 gift vouchers worth 500,000 VND for each gift set (deducted directly from the selling price) and meaningful gift boxes.
The Spring Book Fair takes place from January 18, 2025 to February 12, 2025 at 24 Quang Trung, Tran Hung Dao Ward, Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi.
