This April, the 50 -year -old liberation of the South reunited the country (1975 - 2025), the book "That place is the battlefield" is a gift of gratitude for the author to send to localities, where he used to live and fight.
With the desire to let today's young generation know and deeply feel the heroic and tragic youth of the previous generation, the Vietnam Cultural Heritage Conservation Support Fund in collaboration with author Pham Quang Nghi - former Politburo member, former Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee - presented this special book to: Vietnam Veterans Association; Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union; Department of Grassroots Culture, Family and Library (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism), each organization and unit 500 books to disseminate and widely disseminate to interested readers.

To Van Dong - Director of the Vietnam Cultural Heritage Conservation Support Fund, "the book "That Place is a battleground" is a cultural imprint, a vivid memory of the author, and also a common memory of an entire generation that experienced the fierce war days. The pages contain not only memories, but also valuable lessons about patriotism, sacrifice, and the spirit of overcoming difficulties, so that today's generation can understand and appreciate more the values left by our ancestors".
The book is not only the personal memory of author Pham Quang Nghi but also encapsulated the common memories of a generation that experienced the fierce war years.
Author Pham Quang Nghi was moved to share in the opening of the work: “No one wants the war to return so that I can relive the old memories. But fortunately, I have revived my memories thanks to my diary pages. My diary pages that day have no elaboration about literature. When I swam, when I swim along the canals, I used to pick it up.

That place is a battlefield was divided into 8 parts by author Pham Quang Nghi such as: Overcoming Truong Son, in R, Ve mien Dong, Phong Thong Dan Dia, Nguoi Than Phong, Tay Ninh hom do, Gap Saigon, Ngay tro lai. In addition, there are also parts of the speech before the B trip, the conclusion, along with some comments and feelings of writers and journalists. The final part of the book is some photos and documents about the days of author Pham Quang Nghi on the battlefield.
Each page is written between the lines of daily records of the soldier in harsh conditions, from the march, the quiet days of gunfire, to the middle of the shining bullet in the night or when the malaria tortured. Thereby, readers can feel more deeply the meaning of the country's struggle for liberation as well as the sacred value of peace.
