The book "Vietnamese Governance Culture - From Strength to Prosperity" by expert Do Thuy Duong is a concern about the path of self-management for Vietnamese enterprises. The work is positioned as the first "Vietnam Governance Map", summarizing more than 25 years of practical corporate culture consulting.
With this book, the author pointed out the reality that many Vietnamese enterprises have difficulty applying import management models from the West or Japan - "pre-pre-made garments that are not completely suitable for Vietnamese psychology and identity, leading to management loopholes and internal dispersation of resources.
From her experience participating in large-scale transformation projects in large enterprises, the female author asked a key question: What is immutability in Vietnamese identity and what must be constant for businesses to develop sustainably?

The answer given is cultural governance - with "Vietnamese Quality" as the core foundation. This concept is concretized into 5 values: Aspiration - Discipline - Resistance - Adaptation - congs, creating a unified code of conduct, helping businesses both maintain their identity and operate in a modern way.
The book guides readers from the context of "Time and Times" of Vietnam, to the decoding of each value of Vietnamese quality, and at its peak is the Vietnamese Governance Map Model - with a focus on Data Driven Lead Culture. Thanks to that, culture is no longer a slogan but has become a measurable action system.
The book is highly appreciated for its locality, systematicity and practical stories from Vietnamese businesses. Experts such as Tran Si Chuong, Le Quoc Vinh, Bui Kim Thuy... all consider the book an important contribution to Vietnamese governance thinking.
Attending the book launch in Hanoi, musician Duong Thu brought a perspective from the roots of Vietnamese culture. He said that in the midst of modernization, many Vietnamese people are easily falling into the mentality of " favoring the West", unconsciously considering foreign models as the norm.
According to him, what Vietnamese people need is not only to absorb new things but also to be aware of the depth of Eastern culture and the values that have created national identity. When businesses know how to incorporate culture into their products and operating models, they can create " worthy products" - both modern and imbued with the Vietnamese spirit.
Mr. Vu Trong Dai - TimES Director said that artistic culture and corporate culture are not separated as many people thought. According to him, what musician Duong Thu shares about the optimism, trust and inner beauty of Vietnamese people is completely in line with the qualities of "Vietnamese Quality" that author Do Thuy Duong put forward in this book.
"If in art, musicians call it optimism and flying, then in the language of government, author Do Thuy Duong calls it positive - one of the five qualities of Vietnam emphasized in this work. The difference lies in the use of words, and the spirit is very close together," Mr. Dai emphasized.
Accordingly, the real stories from the author's consulting journey, concerns about identity from the artist and knowledge contacts from the publishing unit have opened up a new perspective: Vietnamese businesses can "grow" a governance model for themselves, instead of trying to wear "pre-pre-made tailoring" from abroad.
