The two projects of Bach Mai Hospital and Viet Duc Hospital, Facility 2, have been reported, the press has spent a lot of ink, and will be put into operation by November 30. In particular, Bach Mai Hospital, Facility 2, with a team of doctors and nurses ready to receive patients.
This was affirmed by Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh at a press conference to inform about the preparation and organization of the Government Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term.
The Government has set deadlines for these two projects many times, but the Ministry of Health is behind schedule. This time, there is no reason to delay, the Ministry of Health must be responsible for properly implementing the Government's requirements.
During the inspection and examination of the investment project to build the second facility of Viet Duc Hospital and the second facility of Bach Mai Hospital last May, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh said: "The two projects that are behind schedule like this are due to the people's fault".
Do not let the two projects continue to be abandoned, causing material waste, or losing the treatment opportunities of many patients, there is only a way to quickly complete them and put them into operation.
Lao Dong Newspaper on September 22. 2025 posted: "Solving the Bach Mai Hospital project, Viet Duc facility 2 helps save a huge amount of assets", giving the direction of Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh: "Fighting waste, typically the two projects of Bach Mai Hospital and Viet Duc facility 2 "shelved" for 10 years, now the amount of assets has been removed and resolved".
Who causes the waste of these two facilities? Who is responsible for resolving the consequences and reducing damage? No one else is the Ministry of Health. Departments and localities are only responsible for supporting.
So, Minister of Health Dao Hong Lan must take the task and commit to finishing on time.
But the commitment is not just about putting Bach Mai and Viet Duc Hospitals, Facility 2, into operation, or just about solving the situation. Patients and people must see enough doctors to examine the disease and treat it professionally and with quality. The facilities must be modern, meeting the needs of medical examination and treatment, so that people can enjoy high-quality medical services.
If they do not meet those standards, even if they finish on time, it will be just a matter of handling the situation on schedule.
