At the Workshop "Improving the quality of training and recruiting high-quality, talented human resources" on July 3, Associate Professor, Dr. Dao Xuan Co - Director of Bach Mai Hospital - said that the hospital is vigorously implementing the plan to build a second facility in Phu Ly City (old Ha Nam, now in Ninh Binh province). This is a key project to improve the quality of medical examination and treatment, medical training and research in a modern and synchronous direction, meeting the requirements of medical development in the new period.
According to the hospital's leaders, facility 2 has a scale of 1,000 beds, and is given special attention and direction by the Government, the Prime Minister and the Ministry of Health. The system of facilities and equipment will be invested in modernity, on par with major hospitals in the region. In parallel with infrastructure, the work of preparing high-quality human resources has been implemented by the hospital for many years and is considered a key factor to ensure long-term operational efficiency.
The Party Committee and the Hospital's Board of Directors have issued specific plans, focusing on building a team of medical staff with good expertise, good ethics and standard demeanor. The hospital implements the policy of rotating human resources from the main facility in Hanoi to the new facility to ensure unified operations in terms of expertise, technical processes and quality of patient service.
We are determined to build facility 2 not as a separate unit but as an extension of Bach Mai Hospital, maintaining professional and technical quality synchronously, Associate Professor, Dr. Dao Xuan Co emphasized.
To date, the hospital has recruited more than 100 excellent graduates of medical schools. These young doctors are receiving in-depth training in clinical techniques and medical ethics at Hanoi facilities before transferring to Ha Nam facilities to undertake medical examination and treatment. It is expected that when the facility comes into comprehensive operation, it will need about 1,200 medical staff, including about 300 doctors.
Along with the young force, the hospital also organizes the rotation of a team of leaders, professors, and experienced doctors to directly participate in medical examination and treatment, professional guidance, and technical transfer at facility 2. Each department and department here will be under the direction of the leaders of the corresponding clinical units at the main campus, to ensure consistency and in-depth quality in all activities.
Associate Professor, Dr. Dao Xuan Co said that when put into operation, facility 2 will help people in Ha Nam, Ninh Binh and neighboring provinces access high-quality medical services right in the locality, without having to travel long distances to Hanoi. This is an important step to reduce the burden on the facility, reduce traffic pressure and improve the effectiveness of public health care.
In addition to its treatment role, Bach Mai Hospital, Facility 2, is also oriented to become a modern medical training and research center. Over the years, the hospital has maintained a close cooperative relationship with public and private medical schools to train high-quality human resources.
