First of all, Vietnam affirms its position as a peace-loving country with a transparent and responsible defense policy in the international community.
“Vietnam is a peace-loving country that values justice, love, and reason in international cooperation. Vietnam consistently implements a foreign policy of “independence, self-reliance, multilateralization, and diversification of relations; being a good friend and reliable partner to all countries and an active and responsible member of the international community.”
This is a consistent viewpoint, once again emphasized by Politburo member and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh at the exhibition, which opened on December 19 at Gia Lam airport, Hanoi.
Next, Vietnam's "4 no's" defense policy (no military alliances, no alliances against other countries, no foreign military bases, no use of force in international relations) is an important foundation that contributes to maintaining independence and autonomy. At the same time, this is also a strong commitment to the international community that Vietnam is always a friend and a trustworthy partner.
In particular, Vietnam has clearly defined in its defense policy: Building a revolutionary, regular, elite, modern military force, gradually enhancing self-defense and defense capabilities, protecting early and from afar.
This is in line with the increasingly complex regional and international context, requiring the most thorough and thoughtful preparation to ensure solidity in defense. At the same time, it also carries the meaning of sending a message of peace and cooperation in international relations.
Finally, besides displaying military equipment, the Exhibition is an opportunity to promote the image of the country and people of Vietnam, thereby building trust, solidarity and affirming the leading role of the People's Army in economic, cultural and national defense development.
The Vietnam International Defense Exhibition 2024 demonstrates our efforts in building a strong defense nation, while sending a message of peace, cooperation and development to international friends.
And most importantly, in all circumstances, we always promote the spirit of solidarity, creativity, self-reliance, self-improvement, protecting territorial integrity and national interests, worthy of being the heroic Army of a heroic nation!
