Before, you only needed to "howl" once and you were on your way. Now every invitation has to go through a mood "assessment board". Going for coffee this time? Too far. Calling a technology car right out of work is sickening. Walk? Tired feet. Never mind, tomorrow "when I'm free" coffee. Then the next day, many other events would come up, and the coffee incident would be forgotten. Laziness does not come like a shower. It is a thin mist, a layer every day, and when we are startled, we are already immersed in it without even realizing it. Lazy to move, lazy to renew, lazy to start. Afraid of meeting strangers. Afraid to try new dishes. Afraid to change old shirts that have worn out or worn out shoes.
But if we are meticulous, we will see: Behind that laziness is fear. Fear of disappointment. Fear of not being able to keep up. Fear of stepping out of a familiar safety circle The sad thing is that the body cannot stop us at all. Her legs can still walk, her arms can still open the door. It was just that the desire had slowed down. It has aged a long time before its body, like an old man sitting on a steps, looking at everything passing by and saying: "Oh, shelves!".
Once, I asked a middle-aged friend why he had been staying at home all the time. She said: "I don't like to run around the world anymore". I see her as healthy and flexible and understand that what is old is belief in the new. We used to believe that all changes were open. Now we believe that all changes require more energy than we have.
But sometimes, laziness is also a gentle warning bell. That we need to rest, when we are overloaded. That we must slow down a little to listen to the sound of our footsteps, instead of chasing things that after touching, we find empty. The problem is not that we are afraid of change. And we have not found a worthy reason for change. But don't let that quiet become a prison. Life, whether long or short, is still a journey. If we stay still for too long, dust will cover our feet and we will forget the feeling of the wind when passing through the new alleys.
