The excitement is not only due to the fact that workers are preparing to celebrate the warm traditional Tet holiday, but also because many businesses are actively working with grassroots trade unions to take care of and pay higher Tet bonuses than previous years.
First of all, it should be emphasized that organizing practical care activities such as giving gifts, giving support money, arranging buses to take workers home for Tet... is a traditional beauty of the Trade Union organization.
This year, that beauty is further promoted and becomes more meaningful when many businesses are willing to accompany the Union to allocate higher budgets, even in a context that is not entirely favorable.
Specific stories - such as businesses paying Tet bonuses equivalent to 1.19 months' salary or even 2 months' salary, supporting employees to borrow salary advances before Tet - show the timely and extremely humane sharing of business owners and trade unions.
Of course, this is not just a story of “taking care of Tet” of a few businesses but a general picture of the whole country. And this picture has partly reflected the appearance of Vietnam’s economy in 2024 with many encouraging signs of recovery.
That is the improved production and business situation, more stable revenue, increased orders... creating conditions for businesses to implement the policy of "deserving rewards" for workers and laborers.
It is also vivid proof that the workforce has made significant contributions to the overall development, and those efforts deserve to be rewarded fairly and practically.
On the other hand, it must be affirmed that the effort to organize Tet care and pay high bonuses is not a one-way effort, but the result of a process of proactive negotiation, understanding and sharing of benefits between the Union, workers and business owners.
Of course, there are still more difficult places with lower bonuses, but the important thing is that the parties are making every effort to find the most suitable solution, aiming to balance interests and build harmonious and sustainable labor relations.
But above all, the spirit of solidarity, responsibility, and efforts of the Trade Union and businesses in taking care of Tet for their union members and employees are proving effective in promoting a healthy, cohesive, and sustainable working environment.
And the warmth from Tet gifts, bonuses or trips home is also the necessary "glue", helping workers not only have a warm Tet but also start a promising new year 2025 for all.
