Labor returning after Tet and the proactiveness of businesses

After the 2026 Binh Ngo Tet holiday, in many localities across the country, the production atmosphere is soon restarted with a common noteworthy point that businesses organize vehicles, stabilize orders and create a ready mindset from the early days of the year.


Typically, underground mining units of Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Holding Corporation, hundreds of two-way buses are deployed methodically: Bringing more than 11,800 miners home for Tet and welcoming them and their relatives back to the construction site on schedule.

This is a proactive and noteworthy change in the way of dealing with the labor force not only in the coal industry.

If previously, after Tet, businesses were often worried about personnel shortages, now, this proactive approach has minimized the risk of production disruption.

Workers have complete Tet holidays with their families without having to worry about bus tickets, high prices or many strenuous journeys. Businesses, for their part, ensure the progress of spring opening and production plans right from the early days of the year.

In the South and Central regions, many businesses are also implementing programs to transport workers, high Tet bonuses, and practical gift and welfare support.

Bonuses in some places are up to several months of basic salary, income maintained at 8-14 million VND per month, the plan to recruit more workers and overtime after Tet also shows another positive sign that businesses have orders and are willing to share achievements with workers.

The benefits that businesses share with employees after Tet are a wise investment in personnel stability and long-term productivity.

Because surely, when workers feel specific concern, they will be more attached to the business, limiting the situation of "job hopping" after Tet - a phenomenon that caused many disruptions to the labor market many years ago.

It is noteworthy that the proactiveness and change not only come from businesses but also from workers themselves, when many workers return to the city early, proactively contact to grasp work schedules, are willing to work overtime and want businesses to have more orders to ensure income.

This shows that trust - the most important factor in sustainable labor relations - has been established deeply from both sides. When businesses actively share, employees will respond with attachment and effort.

2026 is forecast to have many difficulties, from market fluctuations to competitive pressure. In that context, maintaining a stable labor force right from the early days of the year is of particular importance.

Keeping workers is a development strategy, not only helping businesses maintain smooth production, but also creating a positive psychological foundation for the whole collective to enter a new cycle.

And the initiative immediately after Tet of businesses and workers is the starting point, laying the foundation for a year of stable production, substantive development and victory.
