After inspecting 2 projects, working with the leaders of the Ministry of Health, Ha Nam Province and the leaders, representatives of ministries, central branches, Standing Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh requested: "Two projects to happen slowly like this are at fault to the people. We must be determined to overcome with limited shortcomings to continue investing in these two important hospital projects. In accordance with the direction of the Politburo, of the General Secretary ".
This leaves 7 more months for the parties involved to complete and put the project into operation.
These two projects have been at fault for a long time. Construction started at the end of 2014, expected to be completed in 2017, but has been abandoned until now. So much money has been eroded over the years, and the waste cannot be fully calculated. The waste is first of all money and assets, but larger is the opportunity to take care of people's health and treat their illnesses.
It is a fault for the people for being late too many times, and it is a fault for the Prime Minister for not implementing the instructions properly.
At the regular Government press conference in October 2024 held on the afternoon of November 9, Head of the Government Office Tran Van Son said that the Prime Minister has requested that in the next 6 months, the Ministry of Health must complete the second facility of these two hospitals and put them into use with great determination.
If implemented according to the Prime Minister's request, facility 2 of Bach Mai and Viet Duc Hospitals will be operational in May 2025.
