I would like to affirm that there are many good teachers, but it has nothing to do with taking the exam. There are many teachers who take the exam, worthy of being good teachers. But here, let's discuss whether it is necessary to organize a good teacher exam or not.
Training students to become "fighting cocks" for excellent student exams is not enough, schools also compete to train teachers to become "fighting cocks" for excellent teacher exams. It is really too formal.
The story of training "chickens" was told by the teachers themselves, Mr. Nguyen Van Luc - former teacher of Trinh Phong Secondary School, Khanh Hoa shared: "The school-level competition is very tough and seems more realistic because the individual has to take care of his/her own teaching without any help from colleagues. After passing the school level, the Board of Directors chooses "chickens" to compete in the district. We teachers joke that the school "chooses the right person to entrust gold" to "bring the bell to fight in a foreign land".
Once a good teacher at the school level is selected, everyone focuses on training that teacher to compete at the district level. The pressure falls on the shoulders of the selected person, other teachers participate in supporting, preparing lesson plans, giving test lectures, and giving comments. Therefore, in essence, the entire content, the "script" is done by many people, the teacher competing does only one thing: play the role of an "actor", acting well, in accordance with the approved "script".
Any teacher who passes the district-level exam and is selected to compete in the provincial-level excellent teacher competition is no longer a "chicken" of the school but of the district. The district education department is excitedly preparing, making "scripts", acting, giving comments, revising, supplementing, and mobilizing a cast of extras who are students, which is too time-consuming and tiring.
Teachers participating in the content and giving comments on the script for the contestants to perform is not enough, but students must also participate. Students act as "audience" for the teacher to rehearse, gradually, students also act as "actors", raising their hands to answer questions, according to the "script" and the assigned roles.
So is it the form, the teaching content is the creation of the teacher taking the exam or of the design team, is it true that the teacher is good at teaching or is it the "actor" who acts well?
Everything that happened during the teacher training process showed that it was not real.
Take part in a competition to become a good teacher, to see if the lecture can be applied to the teaching of the whole industry or not, or is it just a competition for fun, and then everything goes back to normal.
To put it bluntly, it is not applicable at all. Each teacher has a different way of teaching, has his or her own attraction with his or her own soul, intelligence, passion, and emotions. Teachers are not robots to operate according to a pre-installed program.
So what is the purpose of the teacher competition?
