The incident occurred at around 11pm on July 6, in Quoc Oai Commune, Hanoi City. Ms. Thu Lich and her husband (residing in Ngoc Son, Phu Tho) were transporting about 4 tons of fabric from Bac Ninh to National Highway 6 when the car suddenly had an accident and plunged into a field.
Immediately afterwards, Ms. Lich and her husband hired a crane to take the accident car to the garage for repair, hoping to continue the journey soon. However, at around 4:30 a.m. on July 7, when returning to the scene to collect the remaining goods, the family was shocked to discover that all the fabric had been taken away.
"Before taking the car for repair, my family and the driver managed to bring about 400kg of fabric to shore, but this quantity is no longer available," Ms. Lich shared.
Regarding the incident, some people in the area later shared on social networking forums, saying that they thought the fabric left behind was damaged goods, so they picked it up and brought it back. After knowing that these were usable goods lost to traffic incidents, many people expressed their desire to send money back or refund the picked up goods.
Ms. Lich said that after discovering all the lost fabric, the family sadly returned home. However, when receiving information on social networks about some people wanting to contact to return the money, the family sent people back to the scene in the hope of receiving sharing and sympathy from the community.
