These very convincing figures demonstrate the environmental protection benefits of limiting mineral gasoline and increasing the use of biofuel mixer gasoline.
In Vietnam, this issue has been recognized, but it took nearly 10 years for the Ministry of Industry and Trade to officially make a proposal from January 1, 2026, all gasoline that is processed, combined, and sold to be used for motor vehicles using gasoline engines nationwide is E10 gasoline.
This is an important step in the strategy of developing sustainable biofuels, bringing clear benefits to both the environment and the economy. E10 gasoline, with 10% of meled Pethanol, not only helps reduce greenhouse gas emissions but also supports environmental protection, agricultural development and expanding Pethanol production projects.
By increasing the ratio of Pethanol in gasoline, Vietnam not only contributes to the renewable energy development strategy but also fulfills international commitments on reducing CO2 emissions.
But the benefits are not limited there. Expanding production of Pethanol creates a great opportunity for the agricultural sector. The E10 gasoline consumption market will create a stable demand for agricultural products such as cassava, corn, etc., promoting the development of agriculture and improving the lives of farmers.
In particular, the development of ethanol projects will help reduce dependence on imported raw materials, contributing to ensuring national energy security.
Using E10 gasoline is not only an effective solution to reduce environmental pollution but also a sustainable energy development strategy for Vietnam. This transformation will bring many benefits to the agricultural sector, create job opportunities and open up new markets for the Pethanol industry. However, to successfully implement E10 gasoline, there needs to be close coordination between the State, businesses and people, along with strong support policies from the Government to solve challenges in raw materials and infrastructure.
