In the past, the authorities have handled many cases of fake product production such as fake milk, fake functional foods, fake medicine, etc. Therefore, false rumors about fake eggs have plagued the community's anxiety.
The Vietnam Poultry Association spoke up to confirm that this is false information that causes confusion, concern for consumers and negatively affects the production and trading of domestic poultry eggs.
Lao Dong reporters went to the field, met with a number of chicken farming households and recorded that chicken farmers were suffering losses due to the news of fake chicken eggs being released, consumers did not dare to buy.
Businesses also shared that chicken eggs are very cheap, no one is forging them for anything.
However, many people still believe the rumors that many chicken farms cannot sell, the price of chicken eggs has dropped, from the price of 1,400-1,500 VND/fruit to only 1,200-1,300 VND/fruit. With this bottom-fishing price, livestock farmers are suffering heavy losses.
Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Duy Thinh - former lecturer at the Institute of Biotechnology and Food (Hanoi University of Science and Technology) analyzed: "Eggs are a very special food because they have a complete biological structure. To forge an egg with full whites, yellows, thin skin, shells, nutrient balance, flavor... is very difficult, let alone the economic aspect. Meanwhile, real eggs are very cheap".
There have been many false rumors related to agricultural products that cause farmers and livestock farmers to struggle. Just one thing: durian is soaked in pathogenic chemicals, which means durian growers cannot sell their products.
Recently, rumors of fake eggs soaked in chemicals have pushed livestock farmers into the same path. If rumors of fake eggs continue to spread, thousands of poultry farming households will go bankrupt.
People suffer because of counterfeit goods, but now honest manufacturers and traders are miserable because of fake news.
The Vietnam Poultry Association has sent an official dispatch to the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Science and Technology, and media agencies to make recommendations and handle false rumors about fake eggs.
We must find those who intentionally report fake eggs to harm livestock farmers and the poultry industry.
While waiting for authorities to handle those who report fake eggs, people should also stay calm, do not believe in baseless, unscientific farces.
Buy eggs to eat normally, provide nutrition for family meals and support poultry farming during this difficult time.
