Regarding the incident, a representative of Ba Ria General Hospital said that at 6:30 p.m. on October 12, 2025, the Emergency Department - Ba Ria General Hospital received a male patient with an unknown name, about 18 years old, who was taken to the hospital by SOS vehicle in a state of irritated illness, unable to come in contact, and had no relatives to accompany him. Immediately after receiving the treatment, the patient was examined, prescribed to do a paraclinical examination and given a medical order for treatment according to professional procedures.
At 9:55 p.m. the same day, the patient was transferred to the Intensive Care and Poison Control Department. At 5:00 a.m. on October 13, 2025, the doctor assessed the patient as in a deep coma, unable to catch the beacon, with 0-0 blood pressure, and no light reflection on both sides of the 6mm condolence. The patient was concluded dead, and the hospital proceeded with procedures to transfer the patient to the apartment building according to regulations (due to no relatives).
On October 15, 2025, the hospital received information, a Facebook page named "Youth Xuan" posted information related to Ba Ria General Hospital. Immediately after receiving the feedback, the Hospital's Board of Directors held an urgent meeting with relevant departments and offices to verify and review the entire process of receiving and treating patients. Through inspection, the hospital found that the information posted on the above Facebook page was inaccurate, affecting the reputation and professional operations of the hospital.
Ba Ria General Hospital has sent an official dispatch to the authorities: the Department of Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention, the Department of Internal Political Security, Tam Long Ward Police, Ho Chi Minh City Police, requesting coordination in investigating, verifying and handling false information posted on social networks according to the provisions of law, the hospital representative added.
The hospital is holding a meeting of the Professional Council to determine the cause of death, review the procedures for receiving, emergency care and treating patients according to the direction of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health. When there is a conclusion, the hospital will have a detailed report to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health.
