On the morning of February 26, Khanh Hoa General Hospital held a ceremony to celebrate the 71st anniversary of Vietnamese Doctors' Day (February 27, 1955 – February 27, 2026), with the participation of nearly 400 officials, doctors and physicians from all periods.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Le Vu Chuong - Director of the hospital recalled President Ho Chi Minh's advice in a letter to medical staff on February 27, 1955: "Doctors must be like mothers".

According to him, that teaching is not only a professional standard but also a guiding principle of medical ethics, reminding each medical staff member to be dedicated and have a lot of compassion for patients.
Having gone through many difficult periods and shortages of facilities, generations of hospital doctors have strived to maintain the people's trust, gradually building a foundation for sustainable development.
Hospital leaders expressed deep gratitude to the predecessors - those who devoted their youth, intelligence and enthusiasm to the development of the unit.
In 2025, the hospital continued to record many positive results: total outpatient visits increased by more than 24,000 compared to the plan; inpatient treatment reached over 86,800 visits; bed occupancy rate exceeded 100%. The unit also participated in emergency care for landslides, and provided timely support to patients in areas affected by floods.
Notably, the hospital has mastered many specialized resuscitation techniques such as hypothermia to direct brain protection in patients with cardiac arrest and respiratory arrest; tracheostomy; continuous blood filtration... Through this, many critical cases were saved in moments of life and death.
The field of interventional cardiology develops modern techniques such as IVUS, ROTA, OCT, with more than 1,600 DSA diagnoses and interventions in the year.

The surgical system performed 26,500 surgeries; many difficult techniques in orthopedic trauma, thoracic surgery, neurosurgery, and spinal surgery are routinely deployed, contributing to reducing the risk of death and disability for patients.
Currently, the hospital has more than 1,600 medical staff. According to the unit's leaders, the goal in the coming time is to build and develop into a hospital in the South Central Coast region.
To realize this goal, the Board of Directors calls on the team of doctors, especially young people, to continue to maintain the fire of the profession; constantly learn and master new techniques; innovate thinking, improve the quality of patient service; build a united and professional working environment.

On this occasion, Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to 2 collectives and 6 individuals; Khanh Hoa Department of Health awarded certificates of merit to 8 collectives with typical achievements in medical examination and treatment.
