On December 21, Thanh Vu Medic Bac Lieu General Hospital launched the MRI 3.0 Tesla system - AI technology - for stroke screening, worth over 46 billion VND. This is the first hospital in Bac Lieu equipped with this MRI system.
The 3.0 Tesla MRI system provides sharp, high-resolution and detailed image quality, helping to detect small lesions early and accurately even before clinical symptoms appear.
The system supports screening and accurate diagnosis of complex neurological, vascular, cancer and stroke diseases at an early stage. At the same time, the system is integrated with AI to support more accurate and faster diagnosis with an automated workflow. This is the first modern system available in Bac Lieu province as well as the Ca Mau peninsula and is an important step forward, helping people in the region access modern medical technologies.
The 3.0T MRI machine reduces scanning time by 50%, shortening waiting time. The application of advanced technology opens a new era in disease diagnosis and treatment, improving the effectiveness of medical examination and treatment and improving the quality of life for people in Bac Lieu and neighboring areas.
Mr. Pham Thanh Vu - Chairman of the Board of Directors, General Director of Thanh Vu Medic Bac Lieu General Hospital - shared that the MRI 3.0 Tesla system - AI technology - stroke screening will support doctors at the hospital to quickly and accurately diagnose and detect early lesions with many complex diseases such as neurological, vascular, cancer and stroke.
Dr. Nguyen Minh Duc, lecturer at Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine (HCMC), emphasized that the 3.0 Tesla MRI system - AI technology helps detect the smallest lesions early, even when there are no clinical symptoms, thereby supporting accurate diagnosis and improving treatment effectiveness.
“This advanced technology is especially useful in screening complex oncological diseases, contributing to improving the quality of patient health care,” said Mr. Duc.
Introducing the 3.0 Tesla MRI system - AI technology helps in screening and early diagnosis of stroke; integrating Al to support accurate imaging and diagnosis. Surveying blood vessels in the body without using contrast agents; Early detection of many types of cancer, even when the disease has not yet manifested clinically; Full body imaging to screen for many diseases such as: brain, nerves, cardiovascular, spine, liver, gallbladder, kidney, prostate, obstetrics and gynecology, musculoskeletal system... Early and effective screening for metastatic lesions in cancer patients.
