The National Institute for Food Safety and Hygiene testing (Ministry of Health) said that it has had the test results of Kera vegetable candy of Chi Em rot Group Joint Stock Company.

Talking to Lao Dong newspaper, Associate Professor, Dr. Le Thi Hong Hao, Director of the National Institute for Food Safety and Hygiene Testing (Ministry of Health) said: The Institute is the unit that receives and tests detectives for Kera vegetable candy sent from authorities in Dak Lak and Ho Chi Minh City. After having the results, the Institute sent them back to the locality where the samples were sent and to the Department of Food Safety (Ministry of Health) for reporting. The specific results will be announced by the Department of Food Safety (Ministry of Health).

Mr. Cao Van Trung, Department of Legal Affairs and Integration (Department of Food Safety, Ministry of Health), said that the inspection of the Department assigned units to localities for implementation. In principle, the units sent to the National Institute for Food Safety and Hygiene testing and the hospital will return the results to them.

After a period of attracting attention on social networks, Kera vegetable candy developed by Hang Du Cac and Quang Linh Vlogs has officially had test results.

Kera vegetable candy models are analyzed based on many important criteria such as nutritional composition, food safety quality and compliance with current standards. The test report showed that the product met food safety standards, did not detect banned substances or ingredients that were harmful to health.

The content of the ingredients in Kera vegetable candy tablets basically matches the test results. The preliminary indicators of sugar, protein, fat, and energy are basically consistent with the published information. However, those who promote the product have incorrectly advertised it as "a candy equivalent to a plate of vegetables".

Kera vegetable candy is produced by Asia Life Joint Stock Company (Dak Lak) according to the order of Chi Em rot Group Joint Stock Company (CER Group) - headquartered in Ho Chi Minh City.

In early March, a consumer sent a sample of Kera candy for testing for fiber content. The inspection results on March 3 showed that 100g of the product contained only 0.51g of total fiber, equivalent to the amount of fiber in 1/6 bananas. With a 96g candy box of 32 pills, each candy contains only 16mg of fiber.

On the evening of March 5, Fanpage Kera VietNam posted information about the testing results of Kera vegetable candy, in which it was confirmed that 100g of candy contained 0.935% fiber, equivalent to about 0.02992g. On February 13, 2025, the test result of Inulin fiber (a type of soluble fiber) in candy was 5.8%, equivalent to about 0.1856g.

The Food Safety Department has issued an official dispatch requesting the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Food Safety to urgently inspect the operations of Chi Em rot Group Joint Stock Company (located in Ho Chi Minh City) regarding the conditions for production, announcement, and advertising of Kera vegetable candy products and strictly handle violations (if any) in accordance with the provisions of law, and at the same time, publicly announce the inspection results on mass media.
