Noise about the amount of fiber in Kera vegetable candy - Quang Linh Vlogs

Although Quang Linh Vlogs' vegetable confectionery company has spoken out about the fiber content in the product, public opinion still raises many questions.

The scandal related to Kera Vietnam vegetable candy sold by Miss Thuy Tien and the "brother and sister" team Hang Du Muc and Quang Linh Vlogs in livestreams since December 2024 is receiving a lot of attention from public opinion.

Among them is the question about the fiber content in this vegetable candy that a consumer raised about this product on March 4.

Consumers have sent Kera vegetable candy to Quatest - Measurement Standards Technical Center - a science and technology organization under the National Committee for Standards, Metrology and Quality for inspection.

The results were: "100g of the product has 0.51g of total fiber. This box of candy has 96g, so even if you eat the whole box, you will have 0.5g of fiber - equivalent to 1/6 of a banana. In which, a candy will contain 0.016g of fiber".

Consumers have questioned Hang Du Cac, Quang Linh Vlogs and the brand: "What is the total fiber content in the product? ".

In response to the wave of public protests, the Kera Vietnam fanpage officially published information about this issue: "Regarding some information about the fiber content in Kera vegetable candy, Kera Vietnam would like to announce in detail about Kera vegetable candy as follows: According to the test panel published in the press release on February 24, the Inulin fiber content (a type of soluble fiber) in Kera vegetable candy is 186mg/serving.

In addition, 100gr of KERA vegetable candy contains 0.935% of the fiber from vegetables and fruits, according to information provided by ASIA LIFE factory - Kera Candy Factory. Thus, the total fiber content from vegetable powder and Inulin fiber (a type of soluble fiber) in 1 Kera vegetable candy is more than 200mg of fiber.

In addition, Kera vegetable candy also contains vitamins A, B6, B12, Maxicuma (40% curcumin). This information has been announced by Kera before".

According to information from the post, the test panel provided by KERA was performed at the Avatek Applied Science Testing and Consulting Center - Branch of Avatek Science and Technology Joint Stock Company.

This post is said to be the answer KERA gave to the question raised by consumers.

Comparing information from both sides, the results of the test of the fiber content in 1 vegetable confectionery tablets supplied by the product seller are 12.5 times higher than the number given by consumers. However, the two sides inspected at 2 different agencies. While the KERA brand mentioned "total fiber content from vegetable flour and Inulin fiber", S.T. about "oll fiber content".

Therefore, public opinion continues to question the accuracy of inspection results and the honesty of the brand.

At livestream sales sessions, Quang Linh Vlogs introduced this product to those who "cannot eat vegetables, seeing vegetables is running" and affirmed that "2 tablets" are equivalent to 1 plate of vegetables". However, the male vlogger is considered by many to be fake advertisements, explosive advertisements, and exaggerated product functions.

Hang Du Cac and Quang Linh Vlogs successfully collaborated in sales on TikTok. By the end of last year, these two people and a number of other shareholders had joined forces to establish Chi Em rot Group Joint Stock Company (CER Group, headquartered in Ho Chi Minh City), then continuously increased their charter capital. Many food products have been sold through their large-scale livestream sessions.
