Sitting posture is one of the causes of belly fat and visceral fat accumulation.

Sitting for a long time with an incorrect sitting posture will cause the lipids and starches you eat to be converted into fat, the gluteal muscles become stiff, leading to the accumulation of abdominal fat and visceral fat. At the same time, it can cause muscle pain, stiff neck, headache and dizziness, aggravating diseases of the lumbar spine.

Incorrect sitting posture also causes insufficient blood supply to the brain, leading to reduced oxygen and nutrients in the brain, fatigue, insomnia, memory loss, and increased risk of Alzheimer's disease.

In our daily work, we often use computers, so we should pay special attention to sitting in the correct posture. The correct sitting posture is to keep the waist straight with the thighs at a 90-degree angle, and the thighs and calves at a 90-degree angle.

When relaxing at home, most people like to sit on the sofa and watch TV. To avoid back strain, the correct sitting posture is to sit with your back straight. If necessary, place a pillow of suitable size between your back and the sofa. Try to avoid slouching or sitting half-way on the sofa.

When driving, you can put a soft pillow between your waist and the backrest to reduce pressure on the lumbar area. When sleeping, you should try to lie on a hard bed, lying on your back, avoiding lying with your back bent.

When lifting heavy objects, you should use the correct posture, that is, bend your knees and hips first, keep your back as straight as possible to lift heavy objects. Do not bend down directly to lift heavy objects to avoid damaging muscles, ligaments, joint disorders or lumbar disc herniation.
