On July 4, People's Hospital 115 informed that the unit had just provided emergency care and treated a young man who had been scammed into going to Cambodia. The patient was admitted to the hospital with difficulty breathing, chest tightness, and severe psychological trauma.
Through examination and paraclinical tests, the medical team determined that the patient had right kidney injury grade I; low levels of both sides of the pleural effusion.
The patient also suffered from liver tissue damage with high liver enzymes; soft tissue damage that spread to the chest, abdomen and right back. This is the result of physical torture that patients have to endure when they are forced to work illegally in Cambodia.
MSc. Dr. Nguyen Thien Phu - People's Hospital 115 - said that as soon as receiving the patient, the medical team quickly assessed, planned active treatment and closely monitored. In addition to treating physical damage, the treatment team also paid attention to the severe psychological trauma that the patient was experiencing.
The treatment process is closely coordinated between many specialties. The multidisciplinary consultation helped to clearly identify multi-organ damage and provide optimal treatment directions, contributing significantly to the patient's recovery. After active treatment, the patient's condition gradually stabilized both physically and mentally.
According to information from the hospital, just 5 days before being admitted to the hospital, the patient suffered multiple physical impacts every day on the hips and chest, along with many electrical stitches in the back, abdomen, arms and legs.
Another detail is that the victim was deceived by his online girlfriend, taking advantage of his feelings. As soon as they crossed the border, the victim was arrested and taken to an illegal detention area.
