Quang Binh - Vietnam - Cuba Dong Hoi Friendship Hospital has just treated a 9-year-old child with a sharp bone piece in the bronchi.

On February 20, the Vietnam - Cuba Dong Hoi Friendship Hospital (Quang Binh province) announced that it had just successfully treated a child with a foreign object in the bronchi.

On the evening of February 19, N.N.Y.N (9 years old, residing in Nam Ly ward, Dong Hoi city) showed symptoms of severe coughing and purple skin after playing and laughing while eating congee.

The family took the child to the health station for oxygen before transferring him to the Vietnam - Cuba Dong Hoi Friendship Hospital.

At the hospital, doctors exploited the patient's medical history and performed the necessary tests to determine the patient's condition. After consultation, N was given anesthesia and had an endoscopy to remove the foreign object from the airway.

During the endoscopy, the doctors successfully removed a sharp bone about 1.5 cm long, one of which was stuck in the baby's atheroscope. Thanks to timely detection and treatment, N's health condition is now stable.

Doctors recommend that parents be cautious when feeding their children foods with small bones or playing swallowing items. If you suspect that your child is suffering from foreign body snoring, you should take them immediately to a medical facility for timely treatment to avoid dangerous complications that may occur.
