Da Nang brings doctors to examine health for people in Tam Hai island commune

Da Nang - Viet - Han Da Nang Hospital on August 15 organized health check-ups for more than 4,100 people in Tam Hai island commune.

The program aims to detect diseases early, manage health and create conditions for people to access health services right at their place of residence.

The examination period takes place from the 15th to the 20th. Priority subjects include the elderly, people with disabilities, poor households, near-poor households, people with meritorious services and children under 6 years old who do not study at educational institutions. Along with that, nearly 3,000 people living in the island commune area were also health checked.

People are examined for internal medicine, surgery, dermatology, eyes, ears, nose, throat, dentistry, pediatrics and obstetrics for women. Doctors check blood pressure, vital signs. In necessary cases, blood, urine, X-ray and other paraclinical tests are indicated.

Cases of abnormalities are consulted, monitored or transferred to appropriate medical facilities for continued diagnosis and treatment.

According to Viet - Han Hospital, examination results are updated into the medical data system. Thereby, gradually completing dossiers and electronic health records, serving long-term health monitoring.

This is the sixth commune in the periodic health check-up plan in localities chaired by Vietnam - Korea Hospital in Da Nang. Previously, the program had been implemented in Nui Thanh, Tam My, Tam Anh, Duc Phu and Tam Xuan.

Bringing doctors, technicians and testing equipment, X-rays to the island commune helps reduce travel difficulties for people. The activity also contributes to shifting from care in case of illness to proactive early detection, disease prevention and health management from the grassroots level.
