On the morning of March 27, in Da Nang, the groundbreaking ceremony of S.I.S Da Nang International General Hospital officially took place. The hospital is a modern, specialized stroke and cardiovascular treatment center in the Central Highlands.
The project is built on an area of nearly 30,000m2 in Hoa Vang district, Da Nang city with a scale of 300 to 500 hospital beds. The project has a total investment of nearly 1,500 billion VND. The hospital will be equipped with advanced infrastructure and equipment, along with a team of leading experts, committed to providing high-quality medical services. The hospital will also be a center for research, training and transfer of medical technology, contributing to improving the quality of treatment for the entire region.
According to statistics, stroke is the leading cause of death and disability worldwide. In Vietnam, there are about 200,000 new stroke cases each year, with a mortality rate significantly higher than in other countries in the region. Stroke treatment is a race against time, requiring the coordination of many specialties and modern equipment. Timely access to treatment during the "golden hour" is a decisive factor in the patient's survival and recovery ability.
Mr. Le Trung Chinh, Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City, said: "The S.I.S Da Nang International General Hospital project was promoted by Da Nang from 2022 during my visit and work with representatives of leaders of relevant departments, branches and sectors in Can Tho. Because Da Nang is oriented to develop into a specialized, high-quality medical examination and treatment center of the region and the whole country, forming and developing medical tourism products. Therefore, the S.I.S Da Nang International General Hospital Project is invested in Hoa Vang district with a focus on in-depth treatment and treatment of stroke and cardiovascular diseases, which is important for the development of the city's health sector in particular and the country in general."
According to Mr. Chinh, the S.I.S Da Nang International General Hospital Project will meet the needs of stroke and cardiovascular disease examination and treatment of people in the city and the Central Highlands provinces. At the same time, it contributes to creating an investment environment with a diverse ecosystem to meet the needs of people as well as investors coming to do business and live in Da Nang.
