On July 2nd, leaders of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee informed about some issues related to the risk of interruption of health insurance (HI) medical examination and treatment at Tay Nguyen Regional General Hospital.
Specifically, according to the announcement of Dak Lak Social Insurance, from July 1, 2026, it will temporarily suspend the signing of health insurance medical examination and treatment contracts with Tay Nguyen Regional General Hospital because the hospital has not been granted an operating license as prescribed.
This situation may directly affect people's medical examination and treatment rights.

Regarding this incident, Mr. Nguyen Thien Van, Vice Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee, said that the risk of interrupting health insurance medical examination and treatment at hospitals stems from the fact that the unit has not been granted an operating license according to the provisions of the Law on Medical Examination and Treatment.
This is a mandatory condition for social insurance agencies to continue to sign health insurance medical examination and treatment contracts with hospitals.
According to Mr. Van, in the face of this urgent situation, the Provincial People's Committee has identified this as a key task, requesting departments, branches and related units to focus on removing difficulties and fully complete legal conditions to ensure that medical examination and treatment activities for people are not affected...
According to the commitments of relevant units, all necessary procedures will be completed in July 2026. On that basis, the Department of Health will conduct appraisal and complete the dossier for issuing an operating license for the Central Highlands Regional General Hospital.
Vice Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thien Van affirmed that the province's goal is to soon complete the legal conditions to issue operating licenses to the hospital.
Thereby, ensuring that the signing and implementation of health insurance medical examination and treatment contracts are maintained continuously, absolutely not allowing the rights of people's medical examination and treatment to be affected or interrupted.
