On August 30, Mr. Hoang Hai Phuc - Director of the Center for Disease Control (CDC) of Dak Lak province informed that the unit had established 3 rapid response teams to prevent and control infectious diseases.
Of which, there are 2 teams on duty in the western area of the province and 1 team on duty in the eastern area of the province.
According to Mr. Phuc, the rapid response teams are responsible for organizing investigations, verification, and monitoring of outbreaks and public health events. Thereby, advising superiors to implement measures to handle epidemics, isolate, suppress epidemics and prevent infection.
Rapid response teams must focus on integrating into risk communication work, guiding community epidemic prevention; advising, directing and mobilizing resources from the grassroots level.
The operating budget for the teams is used from the budget for disease prevention and control and other legal sources.
According to statistics from CDC Dak Lak, from the beginning of 2025 to now, there have been 201 dengue fever outbreaks across the province, spread across all regions. In some communes and wards in the western province, the number of cases is still increasing.
As of the end of August 2025, the area recorded 3,914 cases of dengue fever. In addition, some infectious diseases such as chickenpox, hand, foot and mouth disease, seasonal flu, measles... are at risk of re-ikerishing in the last months of 2025.
