Leaving sidewalks and hospital premises unfinished, Gia Lai directs handling

THANH TUẤN |

Gia Lai - Sidewalks and campuses of some hospitals are still messy and unsanitary, affecting the quality of patient service.

On September 18, Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee directed the health sector and heads of hospitals to urgently rectify and handle the messy and unsanitary situation in the campus, sidewalks, and environmental landscape.

Over the past time, through reflections from people and patients, at some hospitals, there are still shortcomings that have not been thoroughly overcome such as: unsanitary conditions, messy landscapes, public areas that do not ensure aesthetics, order in front of hospital gates...

The fact that it has been directed by competent authorities but is slow to rectify or recurs shows that the inspection, supervision and responsibility of the unit have not been fully implemented.

To thoroughly overcome the above situation, the Provincial People's Committee requested the Director of the Department of Health to direct hospitals to review and immediately overcome existing problems.

Organize comprehensive inspections of the hospital grounds, focusing on areas that easily create a messy and unsanitary image such as: medical examination areas, treatment areas, corridors, toilets, crowded areas, parking lots, green spaces, garbage collection areas, entrances and exits and the area in front of the hospital gate.

Do not let the situation of dirt, shabbiness, accumulated waste, unsafe toilets, and degraded landscapes persist or recur.

The Department of Health directs hospitals to proactively coordinate with local authorities, the Police force and functional agencies to thoroughly handle the situation of encroachment on roads and sidewalks, improper parking of vehicles, eateries and activities that cause disorder and unsightliness, affecting the travel of patients and ambulances.
