According to a quick report from Muong Nhe Medical Center on the implementation of health - population work in the first 9 months of the year. As of 5:00 p.m. on October 23, Nam Ke commune has recorded a cluster of cases with a total of 102 cases of dysentery syndrome, 1 death.
In that situation, Muong Nhe Medical Center has proactively coordinated with relevant units and authorities to implement measures to isolate, investigate and verify, and spray environmental defenses at the premises of areas where dysentery cases were recorded.
At the same time, focus on treating 43 cases; quarantine and monitor 58 cases to ensure compliance with regulations.
At the inspection, Mr. Vu A Bang directed Muong Nhe Medical Center to proactively advise the Department of Health on disease prevention activities in the area, especially the work of responding to epidemic situations.
The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized that the unit needs to review human resources, equipment, medicines, and chemical supplies to ensure conditions to meet the prevention of dysentery in Nam Ke commune with the motto of 4 on-site.
In particular, effectively organize traffic flow work to both ensure admission and treatment of patients with dysentery and normalise medical activities in the area.
Mr. Bang also emphasized that priority should be given to ensuring food hygiene and safety, clean water sources, strengthening communication, information, and mobilizing people to proactively implement disease prevention measures, limiting the number of cases and deaths due to the epidemic, especially controlling the spread.
