The National Assembly voted to pass a Resolution approving the proposal to dismiss Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Tra from the position of Minister of Home Affairs.

According to the program submitted to the 10th Session, on the afternoon of October 24, the National Assembly held a separate meeting to review and decide on personnel work under the authority of Politburo member and National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man.

At the meeting, the National Assembly listened to the Prime Minister's proposal to approve the dismissal of a number of ministers for the 2021-2026 term.

The National Assembly listened to a report summarizing the opinions of National Assembly deputies discussing at the delegation on the Prime Minister's proposal to dismiss a number of Ministers from positions for the 2021-2026 term.

With 418/418 delegates participating in the vote, the National Assembly passed a Resolution approving the Prime Minister's proposal to dismiss Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Tra from the position of Minister of Home Affairs.

At the same time, the National Assembly also voted to pass the Resolution approving the proposal of the Chairman of the National Election Council on the dismissal of Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Tra from the position of Member of the National Election Council.

Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Tra, born on January 21, 1964, hometown Nghe An province. She has a Master's degree in Education Management, Bachelor of Literature; Senior in political theory. Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Tra is a member of the 12th and 13th Party Central Committee; a delegate of the 15th National Assembly.

Having worked for a long time in Yen Bai province, Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Tra has held the following positions: Deputy Head of the Department of Education and Training of Tran Yen district, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Tran Yen district, Deputy Secretary and then Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council.

In October 2020, she held the position of Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee, Deputy Minister of Home Affairs. From April 2021, Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Tra has held the position of Minister of Home Affairs.
