Dien Bien - The Department of Health has just received 16 specialist doctors level I who have completed training courses under Project 585 in difficult areas.

On April 9, Mr. Pham Giang Nam - Director of Dien Bien Department of Health said that the unit had just received 16 specialist doctors level I who completed training courses under the Project (585) "Pilot Young Doctors Volunteer to Difficult Areas" sponsored by Thien Tam Fund and Vingroup Group.

Doctors are trained in the majors: Emergency Resuscitation, Diagnostic Imaging, Surgery, Pediatrics, Internal Medicine, Testing, Infectious Diseases and Traditional Medicine...

Specifically, the number is allocated to units: Nam Po Health Center, Tuan Giao, Muong Ang (3 people/unit), Dien Bien Dong Health Center, Thanh An (2 people/unit), Muong Nhe Health Center, Tua Chua, Na Sang (1 person/unit).

Dien Bien still faces many difficulties, especially in remote, isolated, and border areas, where it is very necessary to have good professional doctors, rich in medical ethics, and willing to contribute.

The provincial health sector always appreciates and creates the best conditions for comrades after completing the training program to return to work, promote their capacity, and make long-term contributions to the locality" - Mr. Pham Giang Nam emphasized.

Director of Dien Bien Department of Health said that to date, the total medical personnel of the whole province is 4,240 people, of which 3,159 people belong to the Department of Health. The whole province has 881 doctors, reaching a rate of 13.2 doctors/ten thousand people; 606 pharmacists, reaching a rate of 3.61 university pharmacists/ten thousand people.

In the past time, the health sector has rotated more than 110 doctors from the provincial level and the Health Center to strengthen the commune health station, contributing to improving the capacity of primary health care, serving people right in the locality.
