According to Decision No. 527, signed by Chairman of Dien Bien Provincial People's Committee Le Van Luong, 83 billion VND is allocated from the central budget to supplement targeted funds for localities according to the Prime Minister's Decision to the Department of Construction to carry out tasks to overcome the consequences of natural disasters, handle congestion, and ensure traffic on national highways under decentralized management in the province.
More than 58.6 billion VND is focused on emergency projects to prevent, combat and overcome the consequences of natural disasters on national highways and provincial roads managed by the Department of Construction.
The largest capital source is 24 billion VND allocated to respond to emergencies and overcome damage to traffic infrastructure on National Highway 12, due to the heavy impact of heavy rains from July 18 to August 2, 2025.
Currently, these emergency projects have all been implemented and are in the process of completing procedures for approving completed dossiers.
The decision also allocates more than 5.6 billion VND to pay for a series of items to overcome natural disasters and handle congestion on key routes such as National Highway 279C, National Highway 12 and National Highway 4H.
Notably, more than 18.6 billion VND is funding that does not meet the conditions for allocation. This amount will be organized by the Department of Construction to prepare and implement the emergency repair project and implement the allocation of funds to ensure compliance with regulations.
Dien Bien Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Construction to be responsible for managing, using and finalizing the funds allocated according to the provisions of law.
