Dien Bien supports families of victims in forest fire fighting

Dien Bien - Authorities at all levels have visited, encouraged and provided financial support to families of victims in the forest fire fighting.

On the afternoon of April 8, leaders of Na Sang commune, Dien Bien province said that they had visited, encouraged and directly provided financial support to families with victims affected by the forest fire.

Previously, at about 1:30 pm on April 3, a forest fire occurred in the area of Km No. 7, belonging to residential group No. 1, Na Sang commune. During the fire fighting, many people were injured (especially 2 people with severe burns died, Mr. L.V. N and Mr. L.V. T, both residing in residential group 1).

Immediately after the incident occurred, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Na Sang commune launched a call for support to agencies, units, organizations, and individuals inside and outside the area. As of April 7, the total amount received was 160 million VND.

In the afternoon of April 8, local authorities organized the distribution and handover to victim families to share some of the immediate difficulties.

Specifically, supporting 45 million VND/family for 2 families with deaths; 45 million VND for 1 case of severe injury; 10 million VND/person for 2 cases of injury; 5 million VND for 1 case of minor injury.

At the families, commune leaders cordially inquired, expressed their grief for the losses, and encouraged the families to strive to overcome the pain and stabilize their lives.

Leaders of Na Sang commune added that the "Vietnamese Smile" charity group has additionally supported 5 million VND/family with a deceased person, and also sponsored 55 million VND for medical expenses for victim L.V. B who is being treated at Le Huu Trac National Burn Hospital.
