On the morning of October 15, Nam Quang Tri Eye Hospital rewarded nurse Le Thi Thu Ha (Examination Department) for taking timely actions to save a person with cardiac arrest in the hospital lobby.
Previously, at around 8:41 a.m. on October 14, Mr. N.T.K (born in 2019, residing in Dong Ha ward, Quang Tri province) took his family to the Examination Department, Nam Quang Tri Eye Hospital for examination.
While waiting, Mr. K suddenly collapsed due to cardiac arrest. Discovering the situation, nurse Le Thi Thu Ha quickly activated an emergency alarm and coordinated with colleagues to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) to rescue the patient.
Thanks to the quick response and good professional skills, the patient was saved and stabilized before being transferred to the intensive care unit at the general hospital.
It is known that Mr. K. had a history of a double strokes.
