On October 1, information from Khanh Hoa General Hospital said that the hospital's doctors and nurses had just successfully performed surgery, saving the life of a male patient with a broken heart.
Previously, patient N.T.H.T (21 years old, residing in Dien Khanh commune) was taken to the emergency room in a state of heart failure and multiple serious injuries after a traffic accident.
Through initial examination, the doctors discovered that the patient had a large amount of cardiac emphysema, with a response, and a risk of acute cardiac compression. The patient's condition was critical, life-threatening every minute, and progressed to cardiac arrest.

The patient underwent CPR and resuscitation and was transferred to the emergency room.
The surgical team was led by Dr. Le Viet Huan - Head of the Department of Thoracic Surgery as the main surgeon held a consultation with relevant departments right on the operating table.
The patient's chest was opened for emergency treatment to relieve the pressure on the heart and during the autopsy, the doctors noted that the pericardum had a lot of new blood mixed with blood clots, the ventricular duct had to be torn, and blood flowed heavily.
After many hours of stressful surgery, doctors at Khanh Hoa General Hospital saved the patient's life.
