The Drug Administration of Vietnam (Ministry of Health) has just issued an official dispatch requesting the suspension of circulation, recall and destruction nationwide of the batch of On1 Huong Fresh Sakura Handwash - 500ml bottle, batch number H1-027, production date July 18, 2025, expiration date July 18, 2027, which Lix Washing Powder Joint Stock Company is responsible for putting on the market and production.
The decision was made based on legal regulations on sanctioning administrative violations in the field of health and cosmetics management, along with the test results of the Central Institute for Drug Quality Control. Accordingly, product samples taken at the Go! Long Bien supermarket system (Hanoi) for quality inspection found to contain Sodium benzoate, a substance not disclosed in the product formula ingredient that has been granted a Cosmetic Declaration Receipt.
Explaining to the management agency, Lix detergent joint stock company said that sodium benzoate is not in the published formula, but the Dehyton KE-AS (Cocamidopropyl Betaine) raw material used in the production process contains this substance. However, the appearance of undeclared ingredients is still determined to be a violation of regulations on cosmetics management.
The Drug Administration of Vietnam requests the Departments of Health of provinces and cities to notify establishments trading and using cosmetics to immediately stop the circulation of the above-mentioned product batch, organize recall and destruction, and at the same time strengthen inspection, supervision and handle violations according to regulations.
For Lix detergent powder joint stock company, businesses must urgently send recall notices to distribution units, receive products back and destroy the entire batch of violating goods; report the results of recall and destruction to the Drug Administration of Vietnam before February 13, 2026. The company must also review other production batches of this product to promptly recall if similar violations are detected and report before January 29, 2026.
The Drug Administration of Vietnam requests the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health to closely supervise the recall and destruction; recall the receipt number of Cosmetic Declaration Form 002738/23/CBMP-HCM; and at the same time inspect and handle Lix Washing Powder Joint Stock Company in complying with legal regulations on cosmetics production and business and report the results to the Department before February 28, 2026.
The Drug Administration of Vietnam requests relevant units to seriously implement to ensure safety for consumers and comply with legal regulations on cosmetics management.
