Mailisa's Doctor Magic cosmetics line is being criticized

The Ministry of Health is reviewing cosmetic products of MK SKINCARE Company - a company owned by Mr. Hoang Kim Khanh and Mrs. Mailisa.

According to data from the Department of Drug Administration (Ministry of Health), from 2018 to present, MK SKINCARE Import-Export Production and Trading Service Company Limited - a business owned by Mr. Hoang Kim Khanh, Ms. Mailisa's husband - has been granted 162 cosmetic product declaration receipt numbers. Currently, 81 of these declarations are still valid.

On the National Business Registration Portal, MK SKINCARE was established in September 2017, with Mr. Hoang Kim Khanh as owner, General Director and legal representative.

Dr. Ta Manh Hung - Deputy Director of the Department of Drug Administration - said that this agency is coordinating with the health departments to review all products registered by MK SKINCARE Import-Export Production and Trading Services Company Limited, including products that are still valid for announcement.

According to current regulations, all cosmetic products must be announced in the form of post-inspection before circulation. For imported cosmetics, the Drug Administration of Vietnam is the unit receiving the declaration dossier. Every year, the Department coordinates with competent authorities to conduct post-inspections of the cosmetic market.

However, for the Doctor Magic product line sold by Mailisa, the Drug Administration said there is currently no official information about post-inspection activities.

To circulate cosmetics on the market, businesses must submit declaration documents including: product declaration form, authorization letter (for imported goods or not by the same manufacturing unit) and certificate of free circulation (CFS) for imported products.

Before being inspected by the police, Mailisa Beauty salon was trading in 15 products under the Doctor Magic brand. Recently, in a livestream, Ms. Phan Thi Mai spoke up to affirm that these products are "not counterfeit".

According to Ms. Mai, Doctor Magic products all have legal cosmetic declaration forms issued by the Department of Drug Administration (Ministry of Health). Each imported shipment is sent for testing at units such as Quatest 3 and Viet Tin Analysis - Testing Company, and the results from many laboratories are compared to ensure transparency.

The testing process includes testing heavy metals and microorganisms to ensure the product is bacteria-free, free of harmful substances and safe for all skin types, including sensitive skin. If there is an unQualified shipment, Mailisa affirms that it will immediately return it to the foreign supplier in accordance with the contract to protect the brand reputation and customer rights.

Recently, on social networking platforms, Ms. Phan Thi Mai has continuously advertised the N3 Mailisa set - under the Doctor Magic brand - including three products for whitening, melasma treatment... for 2.3 million VND after a decrease.

According to the advertisement, the N3 set is a solution for melasma, nhang, hives and darker skin, exclusively distributed by Mailisa. The product contains active ingredients such as Retinol, BHA/AHA, mild, 4-Butylresorcinol, Tranexamic Acid, vitamin C - E, Hexapeptide-3 and herbal extract, which help brighten the skin, fade melasma and improve elasticity.

Ms. Mai always affirms that the Ministry of Health has tested N3 and all Doctor Magic products have legal cosmetic declaration forms issued by the Department of Drug Administration.

Mailisa continues to affirm putting quality first, with the motto "brand - affordable price".
