Should you eat garlic for fatty liver?

Fatty liver is becoming increasingly common due to unscientific eating habits and a less active lifestyle.

Among the measures to support improving this condition, using garlic properly is considered a natural, safe and positively effective method.

Garlic is not only a familiar spice but also a precious "medicine" to help reduce liver fat if you know how to use it properly.

First of all, garlic contains many important biological compounds such as allicin, selenium and strong antioxidants. Allicin has the effect of promoting liver detoxification, helping the liver excrete excess fat and toxins accumulated over time. Thanks to that, eating garlic regularly with appropriate doses can contribute to reducing fat accumulation in the liver and improving liver function naturally.

In addition, garlic also helps control cholesterol and triglycerides in the blood - two factors closely related to fatty liver. Studies show that garlic has the ability to reduce bad cholesterol (LDL) and increase good cholesterol (HDL), thereby limiting the process of fat accumulation in the liver. When the liver does not have to process too much bad fat, metabolic function will work more effectively.

Garlic should not be overcooked.

However, how to eat garlic plays a decisive role in the effectiveness it brings. To maximize the effect, garlic should be eaten raw or crushed and left for about 10 minutes before use, helping allicin to be fully formed.

You can eat 1-2 cloves of raw garlic per day, preferably in the morning or before meals. Garlic can also be combined in dishes such as stir-fried vegetables, soup or dipping sauce, but should be limited to overcooked because high temperatures reduce beneficial active ingredients.

It should be noted that garlic only has a supportive effect and cannot completely replace medical treatment. Eating garlic needs to be accompanied by a healthy diet, limiting alcohol, foods high in fat and maintaining a regular exercise lifestyle.
