Breathe to find inner peace
The pressure of work, life and social networks makes many people always in a state of prolonged stress. According to experts, focusing on conscious breathing and movement, the core of yoga, is the key to restoring calmness and regenerating energy.
Siddhaa Akshar, founder of the Akshar Yoga Academy (India), said: When we regulate our breathing and let our mind focus on each movement, the body will regulate its own energy rhythm. Yoga not only helps stretch muscles, but also helps people dialogue with themselves".
According to Mr. Akshar, yoga does not require outstanding physical strength. By maintaining just 15 minutes a day, practitioners can feel a positive change in mood, sleep and concentration.
Four energy recovery poses for the mind
Balasana pose (baby) helps the nervous system relax, reducing fatigue; Viparita Karani (pulling your legs up the wall) supports blood circulation, making it easier to sleep. For Adho Mukha Svanasana ( reasoning), blood is pumped into the brain, helping the mind to be clear and reduce pain. Setu Bandhasana ( bridge) widens the chest and shoulders, relieving back strain after a long period of sitting at work.
Experts from the Harvard Institute of Psychological Medicine (USA) also point out that combining yoga poses with deep breathing can help reduce the stress hormone cortisol by up to 40%, while improving the ability to control emotions.
Yoga is not just a physical exercise, but a journey to connect with yourself. Spending a few minutes a day breathing and listening to your body will feel more secure - even in the midst of the turmoil of modern life.
